- Ri> I've yet to get one that works. The only one that's come close is the

- Well I can put in my two cents worth and that is all it is worth but I have
- been where you are and can maybe answer some of your questions.
- The only browser I found that will acually work with 2.x rom is Alynx and
- it is a text only browser although you can download the images to view off
- line. It is quite stable and you can do about anything with it except telnet
- and probably can set it up to do that too. Not sure. Mosaic seems to crash
- after a couple of pages and I found was not worth the effort.
-

- Well I can understand that and after a frustrating start with all the
- browsers I could find and getting nowhere I decided it was time I got 3.1
- rom and more memory and an accelerator.
- I have to tell you the choice was the right move for me. The 3.1 upgrade is
- well worth the money alone.(careful of pirate roms, Buy from reputable
- dealer. The extra few bucks it cost will save you computor). You can find
- more ram right now at resonable prices, just shop around and don't get in a
- hurry. I added 8 megs with board for 150.00. acually the accelerator is
- optional and can wait a while.
-
- Ri> If anyone knows for sure what's happening out there in regards
- Ri> to my questions I would really appreciate some insight as to what's
- Ri> available NOW and what's in the works.
- I picked up the beta version of Ibrowse and although it still has a few bugs
- it is the best I have found so far. With a few additions of datatypes you
- can pick up on aminet I can view about 95% of all the graphics on the
- internet. I found it very easy to use and setup and although have not found
- any info on when the Ibrowse program will be ready or for how much the beta
- version is very good.
-
- Ri> Should I give up on my Amiga 2000 for future support ?
- Well my upgrades the 3.1 rom w/ manuals, accelerator and 8 meg of mem w/
- board cost me around $450.00 max. Buy a new computor for that? Maybe but I
- want to keep my 2000 so well worth the money to me!
-
-
- Ri> Is it possible or even worth the effort to upgrade to OS 3.x?
- You Bet!!
-
- Ri> Is there or isn't there a browser that will work on an A2000
-
-
-
-
- Ri> with a 2.1 OS ?
-
- Ri> Thanks,
